Two men facing drug and weapons charges were released from custody during court appearances on June 3 under conditions that include curfews and different bail amounts.

Robert Thomas Greenslade Sr., 41, of Yarmouth, and Andrew Nhi Van Pham, 45, formerly of Yarmouth, were both charged with numerous drug and weapon charges at the conclusion of what the RCMP called a seven-month investigation that also included two searches. Both men were remanded into custody after their arrests and appeared in provincial court in Yarmouth on June 3 where both released from custody under court conditions agreed to by both the Crown and defence lawyers, and accepted by the judge.

Pham was released on a $5,000 surety (bail) that he provided himself. Included amongst the conditions of his release is a 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew that he must abide by at his residence in Lower Sackville. He has been ordered not to come to Yarmouth County, except for court appearances and appointments with his lawyer.

"You come, you leave," the judge said.

Pham must report weekly to the RCMP and was ordered by the court not to have any cell phones or pagers in his possession.

There are other conditions he must also abide by.

Greenslade had a $2,500 non-cash surety provided to the court by his common-law spouse. Included amongst the many conditions set out by the court that he must adhere to, he must obey an 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. curfew (the hours were selected to facilitate his employment); he must be available for RCMP checks, and he is not to associate with anyone known to him to have a criminal and/or drug-related record. There are other conditions he must also abide by.

Both men have also been ordered not to have contact with one another and both are due back in court on Sept. 16 for plea.
