RCMP find 250 grams after Pictou County traffic stop

A Shelburne County man is facing trafficking charges after RCMP in Pictou County seized 250 grams of cocaine during a traffic stop.

 On Sunday, Dec. 16 at approximately 9:30 a.m., RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Highway 104 in Thorburn. During the course of the traffic stop the vehicle was inspected and police seized approximately 250 grams of cocaine.

The driver, a 51-year-old man from Barrington Passage, Shelburne County, was arrested for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. 

The man appeared in Pictou Provincial Court on Monday, Dec. 17 and was released. He is scheduled to appear in Pictou Provincial Court on Jan. 28.
