Shelburne man injured in logging accident

By AMY WOOLVETT The Coast Guard A 47-year old Shelburne man working at a logging site in Upper Ohio was injured in the early afternoon of Dec. 5th.

According to RCMP officer Brian Bonnell, the man had been cutting down a tree when a second tree came crashing down pinning him to the ground.

His brother who was also working at the logging site found him and called 911.

The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time but is allegedly not life threatening.

The injured man was carried up a pathway to where the helicopter was waiting in a field and airlifted to a Halifax hospital where he will be treated.
