Barons win regional baseball championship

BARRINGTON, N.S. —

The Barrington Barons are headed to the Nova Schools Athletic Federation (NSSAF) division 2 provincial baseball championships, after winning the western regional championship banner on Oct. 6.
Four teams competed in the two-day regional tournament, hosted in Barrington and Shelburne, including Yarmouth high, Liverpool, St. Mary’s Bay Academy and the Barons.
Barrington went 3-0 in tournament play for a bye to the championship game, where they defeated Liverpool 14-1.  
The provincial championship tournament is being hosted in the Northumberland Region on Oct. 18 and 19.
