Letter: Will province break status quo at Tri County Regional School Board?

Graham Steele, in his recent book, What I Learned about Politics, laments what he calls “the iron grip of status quo” in Nova Scotia. That regrettable reality has been confirmed, once again, in the Auditor General’s Tri-County School Board report which gives the Board’s educational status quo failing grades when it comes to monitoring the performance of its students, its superintendents, its staff, and itself.

Will the minister and administrators discard this assessment as if it were yesterday’s newspaper, or will they demonstrate that it is possible to embrace and implement positive changes in Nova Scotia after all?
