Roseway Hospital emergency department closure during April 5-8 timeframe due to lack of physician coverage

SHELBURNE, N.S. —

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is advising the public that the emergency department schedule at Roseway Hospital during the April 5-8 timeframe:

• Friday, April 5, closed from 5 p.m. to Saturday, April 6, at 8 a.m.

• Saturday, April 6, closed at 5 p.m., to Sunday, April 7, at 8 a.m.

• Sunday, April 7, closed at 6 p.m., until Monday, April 8, at 8 a.m.

These closures are due to lack of physician coverage.

Anyone with urgent medical needs should call 911, particularly if experiencing unusual symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest tightness, abdominal pain, persistent headache or dizziness, or an injury requiring stitches or involving a broken bone. For general health advice and information call 811, which is a service offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week by experienced registered nurses.
