Emergency departments at Shelburne and Digby hospital seeing closures over next few days

DIGBY AND SHELBURNE. N.S. – The emergency departments at Roseway Hospital in Shelburne and at the Digby General Hospital will both be experiencing some closures over the next few days due to physician unavailability.


At Roseway Hospital, the emergency department will be closed Saturday, April 14, at 6 p.m. and will reopen Sunday, April 15, at 8 a.m.


At the Digby hospital the emergency department will close on Sunday, April 15, at 6 a.m. and will reopen at 5 p.m. On Monday, April 16, the emergency department at the Digby hospital will close at 6 p.m. and will reopen Tuesday, April 17, at 8 a.m.

The Nova Scotia Health Authority says if you have an emergency call 911 or visit the nearest emergency department. For non-emergency health advice from a registered nurse, call 811. The Mental Health Crisis Line operates 24/7 at 1-888-429-8167.
