WEST PUBNICO & SHELBURNE, N.S. – Nova Scotia’s sailing ambassador Bluenose II will be making ports of call in West Pubnico and Shelburne between Sept. 5 and 10 on her way back to her home port of Lunenburg after a visit to Boston and Gloucester.
The schooner will be arriving at the Dennis Point wharf in Lower West Pubnico on Wednesday, Sept 5, (we were told around 3 pm prior to this posting) with the decks open to the public all day on Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to dusk.
The Municipality of Argyle will be on site doing their weekly Facebook live from the location on Sept. 6.
Bluenose II will depart Pubnico on Sept. 7, arriving at the Marine Terminal on Water Street in Shelburne later that day for a two-day visit that includes four two-hour public sails and open decks for viewing.
Two-hour public sails are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. each day. According to the schedule posted online the decks will be open for public viewing each day between noon and 1 p.m., and from 4 p.m. to dusk.
