Cadets shine during annual review ceremony in Barrington


BARRINGTON, N.S. —

The annual ceremonial cadet review for RCSCC 327 Unicorn took place in late June at the Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena in Barrington.

The review was under the Command of Lt(N) Doug Brannen. The Reviewing Officer was Sgt. Dan Wiess. Coxswain CPO2 Derek McCarthy gave out the Commands to Ships company to march on and reported to the C.O. to carry on with the review.

The Color Party Guard Commander was PO 1 Megan Atwood, Drum Major was CPO1 Isaiah Perry. In charge of the Division was PO 1 Alexis Atwood.

CPO1 Grace Brannen received the Top Cadet of Mainland Division N.S. honour, as well as a bursary and trophy from Admiral Desmond Piers Naval Association.

CPO2 Derek McCarthy received the Lord Strathcona Medal.

There were others awards as well, along with four-to-six-year medals for the cadets.
