Apple has been rolling out software fixes for some of its new iPhone 15 models High heat.

The company told CNN that the current overheating issues are not a safety risk and will not affect the long-term performance of affected iPhone models. It also stressed that iPhones have built-in protection for components that help control temperatures if they get too hot.

Apple CNN has a number of scenarios warming up its next-generation lineup. After that, user complaints started pouring in The latest iPhones hit the stores On September 22.

“We have identified certain conditions that could cause the iPhone to run hotter than expected,” Apple told CNN in a statement.

For starters, some recently updated third-party apps can overheat, causing them to “overload the system,” the company said. Those apps include Instagram, Uber and the arcade racing game Asphalt 9.

“We are working with the developers of these apps to make fixes,” Apple said in a statement.

It said it discovered a bug in iOS 17 affecting some users and plans to release a software update to fix the problem. It did not comment on when the fix would be available.

In addition, Apple said the device may feel warm for the first few days after setting up or resetting the device due to “increased background activity.”

Apple’s Support page It warns users that the device will heat up when restoring a device from a backup, using graphic-intensive applications, streaming high-quality video, and charging wirelessly.

“These conditions are normal and your device will return to normal temperature once the process is complete or you have completed your activity,” the company says on its website. “If your device does not show a temperature warning, you can continue to use your device.”

The news comes as demand for the iPhone 15 is strong. Ahead of launch day, analysts at firms such as Wedbush Securities reported that iPhone 15 pre-orders were tracking better than originally expected, with strong demand for its premium iPhone 15 Pro offerings, particularly the Pro Max. Delivery and shipment times for various Pro models have moved from late October to mid-November.

The new iPhones come as Apple reported in August that sales fell for the third consecutive quarter. iPhone revenue came in at $39.7 billion in the third quarter, representing a roughly 2% year-over-year decline as users update their devices less frequently.

But according to Wedbush estimates, about 250 million iPhones haven’t been upgraded in more than four years. Improvements in processor, camera and Charging systemDiscounts from mobile carriers may be more than enough reason for users to upgrade this year.

The iPhone 15 Pro starts at $1,099, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at $1,199. Apple’s entry-level iPhones, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, are priced at $799 and $899, respectively.
