The St. Mary's Bay Stingrays went undefeated to win the BMHS Senior Boys Invitational Basketball Tournament on the weekend.
Six teams competed in the two-day, two division tournament.
The Shelburne Rebels opened the tourney with a 84-74 win over the Middleton Monarchs. Leading shooters for the Rebels were Steven Davis with 26 points and Alistair Scott, 20.
The host Barrington Barons defeated the Forest Heights Falcons 72-61 in game two. Carter Harris led Barrington with 24 points, with 10 from Daniel Quinlan.
The St. Mary's Bay Stingrays defeated the Rebels 85-57 in game three. Malcolm Seaboyer had 11 points for Shelburne.
The North Queens Spartans defeated the Barons 84- 58 in game four. Top scorer for Barrington was Robin d'Eon with 21 points.
In Game five, St. Mary's Bay defeated Middleton 102-71 and in game six, North Queens downed Forest Heights 72-48.
In semi-final play, St. Mary's Bay downed Barrington 103-43 to advance to the banner game. Greg Perry led the Barons with 18 points. In the other semi-final tipoff, Shelburne shaded North Queens 78-72, powered by a 35 point performance from Alistair Scott.
In the championship game, St. Mary's Bay defeated Shelburne 83-58. Patrick Johns led the Rays in the final with 39 points, while Alistair Scott was high scorer for the Rebels with 17. The Stingrays' Jordan Cromwell was named tournament MVP.
