Top NS curlers heading to Shelburne for women’s qualifiers

SHELBURNE -There will be some exciting curling going on at the Shelburne Curling Centre this weekend as it hosts the first qualifier for the Nova Scotia Ladies championship.     

A total of 14 teams will be competing to earn one of six spots to compete for the Nova Scotia championship.  

Competition begins Dec. 12 and continues into Sunday, Dec. 14.  Draws will be 8:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. 

Sunday draws will be 8:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m., and 5 p.m.  All draws are open to the public

Included among the curlers taking part in the competition in Shelburne is former provincial, Canadian and world champion Colleen Jones.
