Free Learn to Curl program set for Barrington

The Barrington Municipal Recreation Department along with the Barrington Regional Curling Club will be offering a “Learn to Curl” program for children, youth and families for free. This is a great chance to learn the sport of curling. This program is made possible with funding from the Department of Health and Wellness Thrive Initiative.

The program will be held every Saturday mornings, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., on the following dates: Nov. 15, 22 29 and Dec. 6 and Dec. 13. A schedule for January and February will be given at a later date.

Participants are encouraged to wear warm clothing. Participants must bring a clean pair of sneakers / boots to go on the ice. Children 12 years old and younger must wear a helmet. Children 9 years old and younger must be supervised by an adult while on and off the ice. Curling brooms will be provided.
