A mixed curling team from the Barrington Regional Curling Club represented Nova Scotia at the Canada Senior Games, recently held in Sherwood Park Alberta.  The games were held from Aug 27-30,  with over 2,000 participants from across Canada competing in 24 different events.  The Curling was held at the Glen Allen Recreation Center in Sherwood Park.  The Barrington team won one game against Ontario, and had some really close games, losing by a narrow margin in the last end.  The competition was pretty daunting, as these were the top senior curlers in Canada.  The event was arranged much like the Olympics, with an opening parade of athletes, torch run, and medals for the winners.  The Barrington team had a great time, and were proud to represent their Province and Curling Club.

The next Canada Senior Games will be held in Brampton, Ont., in August 2016.
