Junior C division final tied

The Barrington Sea Star Ice Dogs and the Clare Lions played to a 1-1 draw in best of seven Nova Scotia Junior C Hockey League west division play-off action on the weekend.  

Clare took the opener on Friday night in Barrington, doubling the Ice Dogs 6-3, with a four goal rush in the third period. Logan Quinlan posted two markers for the Dogs, with one from Tyler Goreham. Dylan Saulnier led the Lions with two, with singles from Marc Lombard, Alex Dennis, Jean March d’Entremont and Christian Tufts.

The Ice Dogs came back with a 5-3 win before a near capacity hometown crowd on Saturday night. Tied 3-3 going into the third, Barrington’s Adam Kenney nailed two markers, including a short-handed goal for the win. Brent Symonds, Nate Townsend and Matt Goodwin had singles for the Dogs.  For Clare Alex Dennis had two, with one from  Jean Marc d’Entremont.

The series continues in Clare this Friday (March 2). Game start is 8:15 p.m.  Game four is slated for Saturday (March 3) at 7:45 p.m.
