LEBLANC, Frederick Edward – Age 86, of Yarmouth, passed away on February 18th, 2018 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Yarmouth. Born on August 5th, 1931 in Tusket, he was a son of the late Peter Edward and Louise Anne (Doucette) LeBlanc. Fred was a veteran of the Korean War and was a retired employee for MT&T for 29 years. Fred was at home in the outdoors ice fishing, kayaking on the Tusket River, hunting and fixing up old cars. He enjoyed watching the Jays, Leafs and curling. Fred also loved playing cards. He enjoyed Rum and Warm Beer. He was a Tusketonian, born in Tusket and in later years a resident of Yarmouth. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Barbara Joan (Rogers) LeBlanc; children, Tracy (Cindy) LeBlanc; Cindy (Neil) Doucette; Wayne (Gerarda) LeBlanc; Denise (Chris) Surette; Bonnie (Brian) Williams; Heather (predeceased by Merle) Goreham; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Victor McGuire. He was predeceased by his siblings, Dora McGuire; Angeline (Basil) Doucette; Cecilia (Carl) Crosby; Emma (Franklin) Muise; Dora in infancy. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. By request there was no visitation or funeral service. A grave side service will be held at a later date.
