Communities across Shelburne County came together on Nov. 11 to remember those who served.

People reported full houses at services in Lockeport, Barrington, Clarks Harbour, Shelburne and Woods Harbour.

Services across Canada were well attended this year and many noted the recent murders of two Canadian soldiers by radicalized men.

In Barrington cadets and others paraded to the Cenotaph after the service to lay wreaths in memory of those in the community who had served.

Dick Crowell officiates at the wreath laying ceremony in Barrington.
