Helping hands and ugly sweaters at Middleton Regional High School

Students give to charities on last day of school

MIDDLETON - Dec. 21 was the last day of school before Christmas at Middleton Regional High School, and students did a few other things besides class work.

A bunch of Grade 9 students presented cheques to three worthy causes including CAPS, Elderdog, and the 12 Baskets Food Bank. The students raised the money during first term for the Helping Hands project. The amount they raised? An amazing $4054.85.

There was an ugly sweater contest as well, plus a talent show was scheduled for that last day of school.

SlatWire Network photographer Mark Goudge stopped in at the school and snapped a few shots of the activities. He was impressed with the school spirit and hopes to come back.
