SHELBURNE, N.S. – The Municipality of Shelburne Recreation and Parks Department is seeking input from residents through an online survey on how to improve programs, services and facilities to better serve the community.

“We are in the process of developing a recreation strategic plan for the Municipality so this is one part of that,” said Adam Dedrick Director of Recreation and Parks for the Municipality of Shelburne. “We’re trying to find out what people’s thoughts are on our programs and services, where we’re at with them, what they would like to see, how we’ve been doing. It’s pretty general feedback.”

The survey takes about 10 minutes to compete, is confidential and anonymous. As an incentive, a $50 Sobeys gift card is up for grabs to one lucky participant, through a draw that will take place when the survey closes at the end of March.

Dedrick said the public input and information gathered through the survey will “help us form the strategy and help us develop our goals and priorities when it comes to the strategy so public input is important.”
