Trunk or treat was the biggest success yet with over 350 children participating in Shelburne. This is the fifth year to hold the program where first responders like police, fire and EHS and volunteers hand out candy to children in one safe location. Cpl. Darren Stevens with the Shelburne RCMP says he hopes the event continues to grow in years to come and all community members are invited to hand out treats for future years.
"I would love to see the fire department parking lot full of vehicles and people handing out treats," he says. He also wanted to shoutout a thank you to all who took part. "Without their community spitit this could not happen for the kids."
