ERMES wins annual soccer tourney

The Evelyn Richardson Memorial Elementary School (ERMES) went undefeated in the annual Grade 6 Soccer Tournament on Sept. 28.

Teams from ERMES, Forest Ridge Academy (FRA) and Cape Sable Island Elementary School competed in the one day tourney. ERMES posted five wins and two ties in the tournament, defeating the FRA Merlins 5-0 in the championship game.

“It was a day full of fun, excitement and great sportsmanship,” said physical education teacher Gail Goreham.

The annual tournament is hosted by ERMES.
