Twenty-seven mature marijuana plants, five to six pounds of harvested marijuana and 37 grams of hashish were seized. Growing equipment such as lights, vents and electrical systems valued in excess of $10,000 were also seized in addition to chemical fertilizers and isopropyl (90 per cent alcohol).
Dayton Allen Adams, 34, was arrested at his Woods Harbour residence and appeared before a justice in Barrington Court the following day. He is charged with Production of Cannabis, Production of Cannabis Resin and Possession of Cannabis pursuant to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
Marijuana grow-op uncovered
A sophisticated marijuana grow operation in Woods Harbour was busted by Shelburne County Street Crime Enforcement Unit with the assistance of Barrington and Shelburne RCMP on Oct. 27.
