The RCMP Shelburne County Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) arrested a 34-year-old Shelburne County man early Wednesday morning, Jan. 16 following an investigation into drugs being distributed domestically through the mail. 

In cooperation with Canada Post Security and Investigation Services, approximately 200 grams of marihuana and approximately five grams of hashish were intercepted and seized by the Street Crime Enforcement Unit.

 A search warrant was executed at a residence in Jordan Falls, Shelburne County following the arrest. Police seized electronic communication devices related to the offence.

The 34-year-old man from Jordan Falls will appear in Shelburne Provincial Court on Feb. 27.

He will face a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of trafficking.
