All of western Nova Scotia is under a rainfall warning as well as areas of the Eastern Shore and all of Cape Breton.
It should also be noted that a brief period of snow is possible for the Cobequid Pass area of Cumberland County late this evening before a changeover to rain near midnight.
The low pressure system will also bring strengthening southeast winds over the Maritimes tonight. Over Cape Breton southeast winds..Les Suetes..are expected to gust to near 100 km/h before dawn Saturday and to near 120 km/h Saturday morning.
