Shag Harbour forest , Shelburne County

Volunteer firefighters and Natural Resources firefighting crews were tackling a forest fire near the Shag Harbour ball field on Monday afternoon. A helicopter had been called in to assist.

All of Shelburne County is in the extreme risk range for forest fires as the area has been without significant rain for several weeks. 

Relief could come in the form of between 15-25 mm of rain forecast for Tuesday.
