South West Health is welcoming Georg MacDonald, nurse practitioner on a one-year term to Barrington Passage and Clark’s Harbour.

Georg recently graduated from Athabasca University with her Masters of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner education in primary care. Many of her practicum hours for her nurse practitioner degree were spent in Barrington Passage in collaboration with Dr. Hunter Blair and Dr. John O’Connor.

She has extensive nursing experience, particularly in critical emergency department nursing.

Georg will be located at the South West Health offices in Barrington Passage in the Parsons Mall and will spend Tuesdays and Thursdays at the nurse practitioner clinic located in Clark’s Harbour.

Georg is taking on some new patients and so people without a family physician or nurse practitioner are welcome to call 745-2053 for an appointment.

She and her husband have moved to Shelburne County from Fort McMurray, Alberta.
