Attackers send Shelburne man to hospital

By Amy Woolvett THE COAST GUARD NovaNewsNow.com A Shelburne man was sent to the hospital to be treated for injuries after a group of men entered his home and beat him.

Three men entered his home at approximately 3:40 a.m.  The victim was home alone and asleep when he was awakened.  He was punched and kicked and struck with a beer bottle and lamp.

The 35-year old victim knew his attackers; a 35-year old resident of Alberta, an 18-year old and 20-year old residents of Shelburne.

The attackers fled the residence prior to the police arriving but were arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

They appeared in Yarmouth Provincial Court for bail hearings.

The victim suffered injuries to his face and head and was transported to Roseway Hospital where he was treated and released.
