Fire destroys Barrington barn, damages house

Fire destroys barn, damages house

An early afternoon fire Wednesday (Sept. 1) destroyed a two-story barn and damaged a house in Barrington Passage.

The Island & Barrington Passage Fire Department, the Barrington 7-E Fire Department and the RCMP were early responders to the scene, near Crowell’s Midnight Store.

The blaze was quickly extinguished. It is not known at this time if anyone was home at the time of the blaze.
