Shelburne RCMP are warning businesses to be alert for counterfeit money after responding to a complaint from a local business that believed it received bogus $20 bills on Thursday, March 11.

Two 18-year-old Shelburne residents were eventually arrested in the investigation and later released. Both are slated to appear in court on a later date on counterfeiting charges. Six $20 counterfeit bills were seized.
