This year, the Harmony Bazaar festival has gone green, hiring a full-time environmental community liaison.

“Harmony Bazaar is a progressive, culturally and community focused festival that strives to be sustainable in all aspects of the word.  This year our greening coordinator has been able to focus on making the festival truly green, while our other incredibly valuable staff and numerous volunteers have been able to focus on making this Canada’s best female music festival,” explains Festival Producer, Errin Williams-Spidle.   Environmental Community Liaison,

Grace Poole, explains some of this year’s initiatives include “burning your own fuel by encouraging people to use active transportation, like bicycles or walking, or making sure they car pool with others if coming a long distance.”

The line-up for this year’s Harmony Bazaar festival of Women and Song will include headliner Canadian country legend, Michelle Wright.  Taking place from July 29-31 the festival will bring the talents of Melanie Doane, Erin Costelo, Ria Mae, Rosie Folks and festival favourites Irish Mythen, Teresa Doyle, and Coco Love Alcorn back to the seaside town of Lockeport for a weekend full of concerts, dances, workshops, dinners and music.

“We’re incredibly excited to bring soon to be Canadian Country Hall of famer Michelle Wright to Nova Scotia.  She’s an amazing woman artist with dozens of prestigious awards and number one hits and this September she’ll be inducted into the Canadian Country Hall of Fame,” noted Spidle.
