A local theatre group will be revived this spring for a production of Noel Coward’s comedy Hay Fever.

Basement Theatre is looking for nine cast members to play parts in the comedy.

Director Ian Anderson calls the play “extremely funny” and is looking for people interested in trying out for the roles.

The roles include; Judith Bliss …faded, boring, controlling star of stage; David Bliss …jaded writer, husband of Judith; Sorel Bliss ...20-something daughter; Simon Bliss ...30-something owned son; Myra Arundel …socialite with a bite and brains; Richard Greatham …older foreign office gent with style; Jackie Coryton …upwardly mobile sweet young thing of 30; Sandy Tyrell ..spoilt rich besotted young man; Clara …Judith’s dresser and maid of all work.

Those interested are asked to attend a meeting at the Trinity United Church Hall on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 6:30 p.m.

As the play gets closer to fruition, Anderson says the group will also be looking for help in other theatrical departments including costumes, sets, promotions, lighting and sound, makeup and stage.
