The closures are a result of physician unavailability. To ensure patients are seen by a physician on days the emergency department is closed at 8 a.m., non-urgent patients will not be registered after 7 a.m.
Shelburne County residents requiring emergency services should visit Yarmouth Regional Hospital emergency department (60 Vancouver St., Yarmouth) or Queens General Hospital, Liverpool. The public is reminded to dial 911 in an emergency.
