There has been a change in the Roseway Hospital emergency department schedule for Sunday, July 26. The emergency department will now be open on that day from 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. Monday, July 27. The scheduled closures for the rest of July are as follows:

Topics :
Roseway Hospital , Yarmouth Regional Hospital , Queens General Hospital , Shelburne County , Vancouver , Liverpool

Monday, July 13, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Wednesday, July 15, from 8 a.m. until Thursday, July 16, at 8 p.m.

Monday, July 20, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Friday, July 24, from 8 a.m. to Saturday, July 25 at 8 a.m.

Open Sunday, July 26, from 8 p.m. to Monday, July 27 at 8 a.m. (change from previous announcement)

Wednesday, July 29, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Thursday, July 30, from 8 a.m. to Friday, July 31 at 8 a.m.

These closures are a result of physician unavailability. To ensure patients are seen by a physician on days the emergency department is closed at 8 a.m., non-urgent patients will not be registered after 7a.m.

Shelburne County residents requiring emergency services should visit Yarmouth Regional Hospital emergency department (60 Vancouver St.) or Queens General Hospital, Liverpool. The public is reminded to dial 911 in an emergency.

When you go to any emergency department, you should always bring your Nova Scotia Health Card, a list of your medications and a list of allergies. Things you can do to avoid a trip to the emergency department include: wear your seat belt and drive safely, wear safety equipment at work and play, wear non-slip footwear and remove loose wires and things you may trip over, don’t smoke, wash your hands often and don’t drink and drive.
