Promotional video being shot, new

county website being developed

By Kathy Johnson

Where’s your favorite niche in Shelburne County?

It is one of the white sand beaches that dot the coastline, or a hideaway beside an inland river where the fishing is fine?

Perhaps it’s a coastal island where the winds whisper some of its secrets, or spending time with friends doing a favorite pastime.

Whatever or where ever it is, Shelburne videographer Rick Davis wants to hear about it.

Davis, in partnership with the Discover Shelburne County Association will be shooting and producing a video during the coming months, showcasing what the county has to offer. “Our goal is to promote our county, it's people and assets, from one end to the other,” says Davis on his website “Leave no stone unturned,” says Davis. “Let's show why we feel Shelburne County is not only one of Nova Scotia's, but one of the world's best kept SEAcrets.”

Davis says he’ll be shooting footage for the promotional video over the next six to eight months and what he shoots will depend largely on feedback he receives from the community. “Please take a moment of your time, and think about anything in your neck of the woods which would help us promote Shelburne County as a whole,” says Davis. “Whether you belong to a quilting group, or are involved with international business… All of the things which make our home, Shelburne County, a magical place to live, work and play.”

Besides the video, Davis will also be developing a new website for Shelburne County within the next few months, where there will be links to the videos, as well as other interesting and informative contacts for use both locally and at large.

Submissions for inclusion on the website should be forwarded to Davis as soon as possible for consideration.

Anyone wanting to contact Davis with ideas, suggestions or information on upcoming special events can reach him via his website,
