Municipality of Shelburne adds support for tourism manager

The Municipality of Shelburne is sending a letter of support to the South West Shore Development Authority and has allotted funding of up to $15,000 per fiscal year for a Shelburne County Tourism Development manager.

The Municipality of Barrington has approved $15,000 annually and the Town of Lockeport has promised $2,000 a year over five years.

The Town of Shelburne and Town of Clark’s Harbour have not designated any funds as of yet.

The manager’s duties will include focusing on product development, the creation of a long-term destination development plan, research and analysis and coordinating various tourism projects.
