Schools shutting down early Monday because of impending weather

Because of the impending weather forecasters are calling for, schools in the Tri-Counties are being dismissed early today.

The Tri-County Regional School Board will dismiss its elementary schools in Yarmouth, Shelburne and Digby counties at 11 a.m. Junior and senior high schools will be dismissed at noon.

Southwestern Nova Scotia is on a winter storm watch today. The forecast is calling for five to 15 centimetres of snow, with also the possibility of rain and/or ice pellets.
